As an organization dedicated to healthy lands and waters, a Territorial Acknowledgement not only embraces the past and present but inspires us for the future.
The Metchosin Foundation pursues its Vision and Mission, undertaking and supporting a variety of initiatives within the territories of the Coast Salish peoples, in particular, the territories of the SC’IȺNEW (Beecher Bay) and T’Sou-ke First Nations. We draw inspiration from the Coast Salish principle of Na’tsa’maht (working together in unity) and recognize its applicability to our motto, ‘Healthy lands and waters – the foundation for a healthy community.’
